Vienna, June 1, 1913
IX., Berggasse 19
Dear friend,
If you think Ignotus should bring out the, in itself, worthless paper in Hungarian, I am of course in agreement and empower him to make arrangements with Scientia about it. Date of publication is unknown to me.
The impression of health that you made here was very gratifying. Let us hope it will now stay that way.
I will see Jones before he leaves to see you.1
Cordially,
Freud
Jones went to see Ferenczi in order to undergo a training analysis during June and July (he left Budapest on August 1; see letter 413) of two hours a day (see letter 408), which overlapped with Loe Kann's analysis with Freud. Jones himself recalls a longer duration (“summer and autumn”; Associations, p. 199, and Jones II, 127) and is mistaken in his assumption that he had been the first analyst to subject himself to a proper analysis. At least one other, René Spitz, had begun analysis with Freud, in October 1911 (see letter 240).
