Internationale Zeitschrift für Ärztliche Psychoanalyse
Vienna, June 17, 1913
Dear friend,
Your Jung critique has turned out to be excellent; I didn't like it so well until it was in press. I am completely convinced of the “new tendency's” lack of content.
We usually conclude the year's work with a dinner on the Konstantin-hügel. This time I would not like to miss you and Jones there, if you are thinking of coming anyway. We will wait for both of you. Does perhaps Saturday the 28th of the month suit you? Incidentally, any day is all right with us, even during the week.1
I am now doing nothing but corrections. The work on totem has still not fully come up to my expectations. It is too uncertain; it would be too beautiful. I added a few qualifying sentences and am waiting for your and Jones's remarks, by the way.
The Narcissism,2 the scientific reckoning with Adler, will probably ripen during the summer.
Things are continuing to go well with Frau Jones. Tell him that, please.
I am fully occupied up to the last day (July 12). From May on is usually my busiest time. Pfister's book,3 which is thought to be very respectable, can be expected any day.
Kind regards to you and Jones in the hope that you continue to be well physically.
