Vienna, October 30, 1913
IX., Berggasse 19
Dear friend,
I need you urgently in Vienna this Sunday. As a consequence of a letter from Jung,1 we need to make the most important decisions.
Cordially,
Freud
On October 27 Jung had written to Freud that he had learned from Maeder that Freud doubted his “bona fides,” and that he was therefore “lay[ing] down the editorship of the Jahrbuch” (Freud/Jung, p. 550).
