IX., Berggasse 19
Dear friend,
We are living under the expectation of the “bomb,” which is supposed to be sent out as soon as it comes in. No greater interest, for the time being.
I am likewise eagerly awaiting your contributions or drafts. It seems to me that the Zeitschrift now needs a few powerful accomplishments. In the case of ambivalence, we would especially have to think about Bleuler's paper.1 Abraham is correct in principle with his remark about the works that have been listed, but it is hardly the proper time to wield the critical red ink, otherwise we won't get any contributions, and one has to allow for a certain multiplicity of views, even an alloy with such-and-such percent nonsense.—Putnam has also written to me in a kinder manner than usual.2 It could be that after the schism we will keep three of the four American groups.3
About the summer, I want to reveal to you that I inevitably need some time to be alone, since I have to do the work for Kraus,4 which can only be cooked up on quiet walks. Then it depends on when I will be finished with it. Perhaps in as little time as four weeks, so September 4-5. Abraham won't come until before the Congress. Then it would be very nice if we could spend the time from September 18 until Holland or Hamburg together
