Karlsbad, August 9, 1915
Dear friend,
I am reluctantly returning to you this letter, rich in content, in which I recognize the matrix of several important endeavors.
On August 12 we are going from here to Berchtesgaden. Best address:
Königssee, Upper Bavaria
without any other designation, where I will then be able to pick up the letters from the post office, or
Villa Hofreit, Schönau bei Berchtesgaden.
If the future permits, we would still like to have a few weeks of summer and experience the fall of Riga, but not of Górz, in beautiful nature.1
No news from Martin since July 25;2 Ernst went away on July 30, up to now a card from him from Máramaros-Sziget, a station on the way to East Galicia.
Sachs is getting called up on the 15th; Tausk reports being stationed in Rzeszów.3 The announced books from Budapest haven't come.4
