Dear friend,
The Swedish correspondent1 is just now leaving me, unhappy about the fact that you didn't answer her letter [sent] to the Marie Valerie Hospital.2 She is greatly in need of a ΨA and might be interesting. If you can, just accept her. I also haven't heard anything more from the Serbs. The Swede would be better, is also completely able to pay.
The first installment of the Lectures is certainly in your hands. A misfortune occurred with the Zeitschrift, which will again cost us four weeks. Prochaska3 didn't receive (?) the proofs, sent off on May 31 ready for the printer; instead he sent old sheets, which I had to correct all over again from the beginning and which can't yet be printed. Because of that, Heller has to let the second issue follow the first without interval.
We want to leave Sunday afternoon.4 Minna and Anna are again en route from Weissenbach/Attersee5 and will meet us in Salzburg. Anna will probably go with us now to Gastein.
I don't need to say how very interesting your letter was to me. We will see about all the rest.
Yesterday a letter from Jones6 by way of Emden, cordial as ever; he has eleven analytic hours, is working on nothing original, reads much, bought himself a little car and a cottage 90 km. from London, in order to spend Saturday and Sunday there. Still happy England. That doesn't look like an end to the war.
I greet you cordially. Next time a card from Gastein with address.
Yours,
Freud
