Budapest, January 11, 1917
Dear Professor,
Since I have just taken care of the editorial matters with Dr. Sachs, and since in the last few days nothing of either a personal or factual nature has transpired, I will confine myself to giving a sign of life and informing you that I am planning to spend the next double holiday (February 2 and 3) in Vienna.1
Has not, in addition to the porcupine, also a man with cigars reported to you? If he does come, please don't pay him, but rather leave this business to me; I will then collect it from you. In any case I request you to let me know if he brought anything, and how much.
Kind regards,
Ferenczi
According to Freud's diary entry (Library of Congress), Ferenczi was in Vienna on February 4.
