Dear Professor,
My move has, despite some advantages of the cure house, had as a consequence a small—I think temporary—reversal. (Moderate reduction in body weight, etc.) The food here is incomparably better, one could say flawless. But rest and seclusion are, naturally, out.
I was pleased about your judgment about my last contribution. I started one again—but reading and writing go less smoothly here. Even the books that Fräulein Bernays had the kindness—and even by express mail—to send me are mostly resting in the drawer. I am reading only Kuh's biography of Hebbel2—with great satisfaction, and for that I thank Fräulein Bernays kindly.
Here one naturally also meets acquaintances—as a physician, one is always approached for advice—, in addition, I have a double here (superfluously), a Hungarian, whose eyes protrude much more nicely than mine. The nurse on the fourth floor, who apparently has a sense of humor, introduced us. He told me he has already been “at his peak” for three years (—I don't like the “outlook”). Last time he was in Tátrafüred, where someone lent him one of my little Hungarian psychoanalytic books. But the similarity seems limited only to the physical sphere, for he has no particular interest in psychoanalysis.
