Grand Hótel Royal
Nagyszálloda
Dear Professor,
A lady who just came into treatment with me (Dr. Lévy's sister-in-law, his brother's1 wife), rented two good rooms (Villa Maria Theresia, no. 10/11, second floor, heat available) at the Csorbató;2 the rent is good for July 1 to August 20. Price of both rooms per day: twenty-four and a half crowns; full
board in the hotel nearby fourteen crowns per person per day. The lady is inclined to turn the rooms over to you.
Since Hungary is now being flooded with Austrians and Germans, this opportunity must be considered a rarity, I can talk you into taking advantage of it with a good conscience. I am writing this before receiving your reply, requested to be sent by telegram, with respect to the dates of your vacation, since I would in principle like to be oriented as soon as possible; you see, Dr. Lévy, Sr.,3 cannot postpone for long utilizing his rooms in another manner. So, I request your assent.
I was already in Csorba; the location is magnificent, the food good. High mountains all around; also nice, easy walks. e.g., to the Poppersee, about 1-11/2 hours, as well as an almost level walk on the side of the mountain, etc.
Perhaps the discrepancy between the time of your vacation and the rental time can somehow be reconciled.
Today three bread shipments were returned to me as “undeliverable” packages. We have to stay with registered mail.
Cordially,
Ferenczi
