Dear Professor,
It occurred to me, on the same evening on which I sent the letter off to you, what I still had to say. The enclosed little clipping from “Pester Lloyd” shows you (and me) that a psychoanalyst has again originated in Hungary. Frau G. was so kind as to listen to the lecture in my place (since I was busy). Herr Herrmann1 is supposed to have spoken full of enthusiasm about Ψα, about you, and also about me. The explanations did not go deep, but
they were skillfully presented. Herr Herrmann places himself frankly on the Ψα side.

Yesterday I traveled to Miskolcz, found my mother remarkably well. She is cheerful, active, gay, spirited. I think that certain tensions between me and my mother will also be relaxed by the settlement of the matter with Frau G.
Today Eitingon visited me in Miskolcz. He looks well, is fine and faithful. He is dedicating himself body and soul to the hospital section, which he seems to be leading in an exemplary fashion. His wife2 is also helping him with it. Unfortunately, I didn't make her acquaintance. In the few analyses that Eitingon took on he seems to have had great successes.

The strange combination of cardiac, intestinal, nasal, and sleep disturbances seems to point to certain still unexplained connections between neurasthenia and morbus Basedowi. In many cases there is talk about the mutual (compensatory? vicarious?) influence of hormones. Neurasthenia (a consequence of a deficiency of certain genital hormones) co
