Budapest, June1 2, 1918
Dear Professor,
With today's mail I am sending to your address for Imago an outstanding paper by our blossoming member Dr. Sigmund Pfeifer, hitherto hidden (at the front), about the psychoanalysis of children's games.2 It is worth your while to read through it. Dr. Sachs will also be pleased about this new collaborator.
My nephew from Kótaj3 was here yesterday. There they are reckoning with certainty on Fräulein Anna's promised visit.
I am hearing from Dr. Freund about the difficulties about the summer sojourn. But whether you go to Velden or wherever, you won't be rid of us so soon.
Best regards,
Ferenczi
Over!
I just read about the Anti-Psychoanalysis by E. Wolfram,4 full of Steinerisms.5 Then an interesting book by O. A. H. Schmitz6 (Twilight of Mankind, published by G. Müller in Munich). I get the impression that people now want to flee into a Brahmanism, a kind of superior self-deification, in order to withdraw from the inconsolable realizations of Ψα. (which denigrate the ego).
Given as “VII” (July) in the original, but the date must be June, since Ferenczi inquires about the reaction to Pfeifer's paper in letter 750.
