Budapest, September 13, 1918
Dear Professor,
I, Dr. Rank, and Dr. Freund all feel a strong uneasiness, since your concurring reply to our—to be sure, energetic—action still hasn't arrived. I hope you see that we could hardly act in any other way, since the holding of the Congress would otherwise have come into question. Dr. Sachs was unable to report anything positive to us—despite numerous inquiries to the War Ministry—it was becoming questionable whether we—the military physicians, will be able to get away at all. Dr. Freund cited your—certainly facetious—statement (it was related to him by Anna) to the effect that you hope to be able to stay in Lomnicz until the end of September in the event that the Congress does not take place in Breslau.
Please reassure us promptly and let us know about your travel plans.
Kind regards,
Ferenczi
Frau Pálos sends most cordial greetings.
