Dr. Ferenczi Sándor
idegorvos
Budapest, April 27, 1920
Dear Professor,
I was not a little annoyed about the incorrect address from the mailing from your brother-in-law in America; I would have been able to tell him a better address. Perhaps he will send another little sum, and this time not for children.
According to Frau Rózsi, [the] endowment letter is not to be found in the estate. I will have further research carried out. In the worst case we can get a replacement letter from B. Emil can bring that about whenever.—
I spoke with Lajos Lévy about our lack of money; he will consult with Emil about it sometime soon. Perhaps he will give us a freight car full of paper as an advance.
Frau Sarolta, my sister-in-law who lives in Rome, writes us that she attended a lecture by Sante de Sanctis1 at the University. He spoke for the entire hour about your “Interpretation of Dreams,” supposedly with expressions of the highest recognition. Frau Sarolta knows him personally; he also knows my works and asks me for offprints.
A professor of philosophy and pedagogy at the University of Bonn (Walter Frost)2 demanded of me by letter the speedy publication of my “Gesam-melte kleine Schriften”; he didn't write anything about where I am supposed to get the paper for it.
