From the lines of both of your letters to which I have to reply, there resounds in my ears only the “warning” that you are supposed to have received on March 13. I presume a heart condition, to the production of which your use of nicotine may have made a prominent contribution. As an experienced hypochondriac, I can only tell you that also very unpleasant subjective symptoms—whether organically based or not—can be dissipated
