Partenkirchen,
September 2, 1921
Dear Professor,
I would like to share our itinerary with you. On September 6 we are traveling to Munich (probably Hotel Rheinischer Hof); we want to arrive at Groddeck's at 8 o'clock in the evening.1
I think I should send you the enclosed letter of Frau Lou Salomé, since it gives us information about the precarious position of our friend, into
which she has gotten by virtue of her loyalty to principle; and also about the real value of the work and the activity of Marcinowsky (about which, incidentally, I was never in doubt).2 Possibly I will visit Frau Lou on the trip from Baden-Baden to Berlin, i.e., Hildesheim.
The rest of the plan for September is approximately as follows: around the 15th to the 17th we want to go to Berlin, where we will be put up at my brother's (Sigmund Ferenczi, address: SW, Dessauerstrasse 2, editor's office of the newspaper). In the meantime I hope to find out the exact time and place of the Congress.
Kind regards from both of us.
Yours,
Ferenczi
The first of numerous visits by Ferenczi to Groddeck, at the same time a close friendship and also mutual analytic relationship (see Ferenczi/Groddeck, Briefwechsel).
