Internationale Zeitschrift für Ärztliche Psychoanalyse
Budapest, June 26, 1923
Dear Professor,
I hope that you will still get this letter in Vienna.1 It is probably best for me to keep a strict silence about the profoundly sad case that you communicated to me.
What there is to report about me is that I am well and have decided to make the English trip (to Oxford) after all. Not until after England would I get to Klobenstein, or the place where Rank settles in. I will naturally be present in Wolkenstein, or wherever else the Committee members meet. I will travel to England alone; I will meet my wife in South Tirol.
I would like to know whether you have been informed about the Dick matter2 by way of Rank.
Many kind regards.
Yours,
Ferenczi
On June 30 Freud and Minna Bernays traveled to Gastein and from there, at the end of July, to Lavarone by way of Annenheim and Bolzano, where Martha and Anna, as well as Mathilde and Robert, joined them (Freud's and Rank's Rundbrief of June 30, 1923). Jones met them there on August 1. “The members of the Committee met at Castel Toblino on August 26 and went on to stay at San Cristoforo … In the first days of September Martha Freud and her sister went to Meran, Freud and Anna to Rome” (Jones III, 98).
