Vienna, March 3, 1925
IX., Berggasse 191
Dear friend!
As a postscript to your letter, [find] enclosed a letter from Major Daly, who will probably express his willingness to come to Budapest.
Second enclosure [is] the letter from Brill, which finally arrived, about Rank's activity in New York. The presentation is the well-known one of the “Jewish orderly.”2 Aside from that, he confirms what Rank said himself.
The book by the Russian3 arrived today. By coincidence, I opened it up just at the passage about Hamlet and the Oedipus complex, and I convinced myself that he is a very ordinary ass, with whom it is not worthwhile to keep any further company. At your next visit you can pick up the book again yourself, or request that I send it home to you earlier.
Otherwise, no change in the last two days.
Cordially,
Freud
P.S. Brill's letter is supposed to wander from you to Berlin and London. You also promised to forward the issue of the Journal for Psychical Research to Eitingon soon.
The letter is typewritten; only the signature, “Freud,” is handwritten.
