Budapest, December 20, 1925
Dear Professor,
Yesterday brought me no news from Berlin; I would like to garner the justification for some hope from that. Should it come to the end which is so feared by us, then it goes without saying that I will fulfill all the painful duties which are coming to me. You, dear Herr Professor, should, as long as your condition does not improve, on no account risk the torment of such a journey.
I will definitely see you over Christmas, since I have arranged an editorial meeting with Radó in Vienna. My wife will accompany me.
In consideration of your holiday peace and quiet, which should be disturbed as little as possible, I don't want to disturb you any more than is absolutely necessary; so I ask you, without any obligation on your part, to be apprised of the fact that I am checking into the Hotel Regina on the afternoon of the 24th. It would certainly be a great pleasure for me if I could at least greet Fräulein Anna at our discussions, and I ask you to leave word for me at the hotel. If you want to receive me, dear Herr Professor, then I ask Fräulein Anna to inform me of the time. I intend to return to Budapest on Sunday (the 27th).
Kind regards,
Ferenczi
