[Rundbrief]1
Budapest, January 31, 1926
Dear friends:
The reason for the delay this time: indisposition, which got better in the meantime.
The Berlin solution seems to me to be the only right one at this time. I am convinced that Simmel, a talented man, will grow in every respect in the consciousness of his important position. In his productive fantasy he does, to be sure, incline in a direction which is opposite to Abraham's; but Radó's critical talent will be a good counterweight.
We should, as Ernest correctly thinks, reserve the possible enlargement of the Committee for a later time.
Kolnai has resigned from the association. He bases it on the fact that he will publish a doctoral dissertation in Vienna which is critical of some of the main views of psychoanalysis.2 (I think he is writing a new ethics.) It's a good thing that we are rid of him.
Kind regards!
Ferenczi
