[Rundbrief]1
Budapest, July 25, 1926
Dear friends:
The Viennese newspaper attacks on Reik and psychoanalysis have also caused a stir in Budapest. I was interviewed by a newspaper on the question of lay analysis and gave rather vehement explanations.
The Budapest group held its farewell session yesterday. The colleagues agreed on a comprehensive work program for next year. They will institute lectures and seminars (for advanced students).2
I will end my work on August 15, go visit the Professor at the Semmering on the 22nd, then make some visits in Germany (Munich, Baden-Baden), and go to New York with my wife on September 22 on board the Andania (Cunard). A few colleagues and pedagogues are already signed up for training analyses. I am also taking along two American patients from here, so that I am already fully booked. I will give eighteen lectures, for which the program has already been set, in the “New School for Social Research.”
Cordially,
Ferenczi
