Dear Professor!
Many thanks for your card!—In Madrid I finally succeeded in speaking with Herr Ballesteros y de Torres. An extremely nice young professor of philology, enthusiastically fired up about ψ α, on top of that, a lawyer. He didn't allow me any peace until I gave him a promise on the way back to give a lecture to a select circle of intellectuals (Sociedad de Cultura).2 I will talk about “the training of the psychoanalyst” and focus in on the analyst's being analyzed.3 Kind regards to everyone.
Yours,
Ferenczi

“Einführung in die psychoanalytische Technik und Charakteranalyse” [Introduction to Psychoanalytic Techique and Character Analysis], given October 27, 1928, in the Residencia de Estudiantes, Sociedad de Cursos y Conferencias in Madrid. On the following day, the newspaper ABC published a notice about it, which was reprinted in German in Zeitschrift 15 (1929): 133. The lecture was published posthumously in Bausteine III (422-431) under the title “Über den Lehrgang des Psychoanalytikers” [On the Psychoanalyst's Course of Study].
