Vienna, October 19, 1931
IX., Berggasse 19
Dear friend,
Only a few lines to congratulate you on the extended stay in Capri. I myself was there for only two days with my brother. In exchange for that, we lived for weeks in heavenly Sorrento.1 Once again, I envy you— but you seem to have earned this enjoyment with difficulty. Who knows how much good it will do you to be withdrawn for a time from the problematics of your patients.
I hope you didn't take my remark about having to deal with the next president of the IPA tragically.
Cordially, for you and your dear wife.
Yours,
Freud
