Vienna, IX. Berggasse 19
Dear Dr. Jones,
I thank you for sending me the issue containing your paper,1 which I read with much interest.
On the question of left- and right-handedness I only know that Stekel will be publishing something on dreams in the next issue of the Jahrbuch,2 which we are expecting shortly. You are, of course, aware of Gaupp's book on right-handedness.3 Incidentally, I will have Rank keep his eyes open in case he finds anything useful for you. That right and left should mean male and female seems quite obvious.
My time is at present quite taken up with writing out the five lectures, which you yourself had to listen to in Worcester.4 Very inconvenient when one has so much else to do as I.
I am very curious about Putnam's future attitude. I understand he has written a laudatory paper somewhere, which, however, has not reached me; nor, incidentally, have I received the copy of the translation that Brill must surely have sent off.5 Has he tried to have further contact with you? Or does everything need much more time?
Cordial greetings and I hope to hear from you again soon.
Yours very truly,
Freud
