Hotel Latemar, Karersee, Tirol
My dear Jones,
It was a remarkable contrast to read your clever and delicate remarks on this finest spot of the Dolomites among the big mountains, high trees in the most refreshing or rather intoxicating airs I have ever breathed. I thank you for them but I have nothing to add. My mental faculties have not yet returned since Karlsbad. The presence of my family including my daughters “friend”, is not promoting to intellectual research.
Your wife I hope is continuing in good condition, or—I will not come to London.
While I was copying the intricate adress for my letter to you I resolved to recommend you using my old Vienna one until we meet.
I am nearly out of every relation to our work. The 3rd number of Imago was the only trece [trace] to me. I know nothing of the Jahrbuch, I have not got your book on the Nightmare etc.1 and I am nearly enjoying my shameful indifference.
No news from Rank or Brill.
I am wishing you the best impressions in your country
yours truly
Freud
