Dear Professor Freud,
It is a little doubtful whether you will receive this before you leave, so I write only a few lines and to wish you Godspeed on the journey.
Seif has here the Korrektur of Jung's article, which is nearly 300 pages long. I have already read most of it. He maintains that much of the Urlibido has been already sublimated in bygone ages and is therefore no longer sexual in the individual child. He does not deny infantile sexuality altogether. He distinguishes sharply between Libido and Sexualität.1 There is little new in the work. It is a most rambling and disconnected shovelling in of mythology with occasional remarks of his own. It is written in great excitement and flurry, and exceedingly badly arranged and presented—most obscure. I cannot think that many people will make much out of it. Seif was recently with Jung and has much to say about him. He is a little inclined to be on Jung's side. He may perhaps come with me to London for a few days next week.
