S. Cristof [San Cristoforo]
My dear Jones,
I have passed through some days of very bad health, now I feel recovered and intend going to Rome tomorrow to catch a last dose of beauty and selfcollection. Write me under my name (the F printed) ferma in posta. I got a nice letter from Maeder about the Congress and I am sure I have to thank your influence for it. Mrs. Jung who had been silent for a long time added some very kind lines1 to sending her husbands famous paper in S.A. [Separatabdruck]2 So the prospects seem rather clearing—if all this be not the immediate effect of your personal intercourse with the Zürich people.
My daughter seems to continue in the same condition, not bad, but some patience will be required.
I expect to meet Ferenczi on the line to Rome. He had no good time with me.
Give my best love to your wife and accept my thanks for all you are doing in the time of my weakness.
Yours truly
Freud
