Vienna, IX. Berggasse 19
My dear Jones,
Again a short letter—I am too deep in business for more—as you will be anxious about your wife. You need not, I am pretty sure it was a purely hysterical attack, it came to a sudden end after she had written that last famous letter to you and she is splendid and charming since. That letter contained I am sure all that she ought to have told me what she dares not yet to do. She will behave better a next time and we will get more profit from an attack than we could on the first trial. I got the urine only yesterday, it contained nothing but the slightest trace of albumen (pus).—
You will have heard all that is going on from other sides. The new organ is born now, christened:
Internationale Zeitschrift für ärztliche ΨA
Ferenczi and Rank the working editors, Heller the publisher. We want your name and something from your pen (the Angstpaper) for Nr. 1 to appear the 15th of January.
Nearly all the collaborators of the Zentralblatt came over to us. The Zürich men [have]1 could not yet understand why I cast away the Zentralblatt instead of the person but they are now informed by my letters of the way, Bergmann took Stekels party and I have no doubt they will join too.
Your book not yet arrived. I could do nothing worth mentioning since my letter, all has gone into this mean business.
Yours heartily
Freud
