My dear Jones,
I am glad you are entering with full sails into english scientific life. As you are kind enough to consult me about Havelock Ellis' offer I will not
postpone to answer that you cannot decline it but must do it first of all. Napoleon can wait, even the translation of Ferenczi's may; the translation of Pfister's book is no work for you, I should think. Your work is enough for one man, but your capacity for doing work is immense, it ought to be directed into the most urgent channels.
As for Loe you know no doubt that she had no kidney attack but a true and well deserved relapse. No wonder she is better with you since.
Glad to see you in a few days
Yours faithfully
Freud
P.S. Ferenczi shares my opinion about Ellis' proposal.
