Dear Jones,
Jenseits I. p. 49 “Von Sexualtrieben“—allright as shown by the “natürlich” in the sentence before.1
II. Note “Zeugen” is better than “zeigen”. You are right, yet the latter is possible too “zeugen” would be rather construed by “für”.2
III. “Der” relates to the last noun in the sentence “Todestrieb”, as it ought to do.3
IV. “all dies” relates to “worüber…” not to the foregoing, is equivalent to “alles”.4
(“Boris Sidis” belongs to the Mass ψ I trust, where the misprint has found correction.)
I have since sent you the notes to the second edition, which itself has not yet appeared. Why they did not send you the Masspsych from the very beginning I do not know. Perhaps it got lost.
As for the Americans: You know the NY Society did give the choice to the president, so we have to fall in with them and make him (the president) decide, where we leave it open. I think you might act in my name as you like. If you prefer Oberndorf (or Blumgart) alone to an alternative, say so and I will have endorsed it.
Both of them have fixed themselves to come here Oct. 1st. It is hard work with these analysts. I struggled 6 weeks with Frink, who no doubt is the best man among them, till I got hold of him.
