42 York Terrace, Regents Park
Dear Professor,
My wife and I were very touched by your kind thought in telegraphing your congratulations to us today, and we wish to thank you from our hearts.
I am glad to say that both are progressing perfectly. The youngster is a lusty rascal, very sturdy in every way. He weighed K.4.20, and his grasp when he attaches himself to his mother's breast is such that he can be dislodged only by a lever action of two hands. He resembles myself and my father much more than his mother facially, the reverse of the little girl. The contrast between them is remarkable; no one could mistake their respective sex from the beginning.
always gratefully yours
Ernest Jones.
