Pension Moritz

Dear Jones,
I am living here with the greater part of my family from Berlin and Vienna in something like paradise, yet tired by the cure I got through before.
I fully agree to your intention about Rickman's directorship. Johnson's innovations appeared repelling to me, in any case they are premature. I would inhibit the publication of his article if publishing it meant consenting to it.
Every time you are submerging into the tiresome business of arranging the papers of the Collection I feel deeply touched and somewhat regretful to be the cause of so much trouble. I think no arrangement would prove completely satisfactory unless a purely chronological one, which disregards the other characters of the papers, and I know this cannot be done.
