Dear Professor,
I have been away for a convalescing holiday in Wales, and am glad to say that I have made an excellent recovery from my illness, with the unfortunate exception of my cursed rheumatism.
It will be an interesting experiment for us to meet in August without your presence, but I trust that you will not regard it as a precedent.
I am sorry to say that Press affairs are going badly, partly because of the difficulty of getting things done in Germany, and partly because there is no suitable man with the time to manage the whole affair. Rickman has the time, but sadly lacks the “push” and energy necessary.

I hear today from Ferenczi that he is also coming to the O
