Vienna, IX. Berggasse 19
Dear Jones,
You have heard of my illness, a bronchopneumonia occurring after an insignificant operation in the region of the scar. I am now myself again, though not much stronger than before.
The motive of this letter was given me by the receipt of N. 4 of your Journal whose contents left to me a pleasant impression of the standard arrived at. But at the same time I noted that I did not possess No. 3 nor the four supplements mentioned in the advertisements. The number I may have lost in the transports to and from Grundlsee. I am rather sure I never got the supplements. I hope you will remedy this defect, it makes no difference, whether you make me pay for them or think they are due to me.
I hope your wife and children are allright, it is long since I had direct information from you.
Affectionately yours
Freud
