Vienna, IX. Berggasse 19
Dear Jones,
I enjoyed your letter up to the one point that your recovery is so slow. All is full of “Grippe” with us; I myself feel tired and moody but not feverish. My jaw and my plate do not agree with each other.
There is no saying how glad I would be to hear that you have been invited to give the Huxley Lecture. I expect you will be some day, but I do not expect to last so long. At about your present age I was called to Worcester, as you remember. Our analysis has since made some progress in the esteem of the public but not enough.
Affectionately yours
Freud
