Dear Jones,
Your book1 was a pleasant surprise for me. I will read it thorougly in my leisure hours and take pleasure in all its viewpoints.
It just so happens that I cited you during the last few weeks; however, in doing so I had to impugn you. For I used my improved health during the summer to write two short papers, which you will read very soon in the Zeitschrift.2 In one of them, on female sexuality, I had to mention that your views diverge from my findings.3
I hope things are going well with you and your family.
With cordial greetings.
Yours,
Freud
