Dear Jones,
I am glad to hear that your and your wife's illnesses are less lasting than mine, and therefore hope to see you soon.
Regarding the earthquakes in Egypt, I realize that I am in error and ask you to delete the word from the text. (I remembered having read somewhere the suggestion of a fool that pyramids should be built in countries afflicted with earthquakes as protection against them. His argument was that earthquakes do not occur where there are pyramids, that is, in Egypt.)
I think the second point has already been decided by the text of the second German essay. There I decided on the name Ikhnaton, and it really will not do that there should be a different spelling in the English edition. This essay (Imago IV, p. 392) also contains an explanatory footnote, but it is too short, not quite accurate, and can be replaced by another.1
With cordial greetings.
Yours,
Freud
