Dear Friend,
I forgot to add that Helmholtz's physiological optics costs ten talers new and you must add the forwarding costs when deciding whether the price is right. I shall send you the money by postal order; please convert the talers at the prevailing rate of exchange, which will be to my advantage (the local booksellers convert at 1.80 guilders). In any case, let me know if you discover a (serviceable and cheap) copy before you buy it.
