Internationale Psychoanalytische Vereinigung
Küsnach-Zürich1, II December 1911
Dear Professor Freud,
Again I have kept you waiting because I am unable to get the better of my bad habits.
You will see from the letterhead in what manner I have replied to Bleuler's resignation. We won't let it dampen our spirits. We have accepted five new members in Bleuler's place. No one has followed his example. I suppose he said nothing to you about his co-directorship of the Jahrbuch. He knows how to keep his resistance to himself and is all affability with me.
I have given Riklin a piece of my mind. Everything seems to be all right now. He is badly organized in the head and will need Lord knows how many more years to mature.
The new Jahrbuch has been held up by the bother of making linecuts of the cryptograms for Pfister's paper.2 Correcting Bjerre's paper3 gave me an awful lot of work, but it's a fine thing. I'll gladly take Spielrein's new paper4 for the first number of Jahrbuch 1912. It demands a great deal of revision, but then the little girl has always been very demanding with me. However, she's worth it. I am glad you don't think badly of her.
So far as possible I shall take note of your objections to my method of dealing with mythology. I should be grateful for some detailed remarks so that I can turn your criticism to account in my second part. I know, of course, that Spielrein operates too much with biology. But
