28 December 1911, Vienna, IX. Berggasse 19
Dear friend,
I have received a splendid, really illuminating paper about colour audition from an intelligent lady Ph.D.1 It solves the riddle with the help of our ΨA. It is fifty-two pages long, too much for the Zentralblatt, which is at present cramped for space. Can you use it in the Jahrbuch? One reason why I think it would be suitable for the Jahrbuch is that Bleuler made his debut2 with a study of this problem.
Frau C—is back again. Once again I shall have to be tolerant and patient. It is all settled with Pfister; your interpretation3 was unjustified; they were really at a loss, they had to consult me.
This letter will arrive just in time to bring you and yours my kind regards before the year ends.
Here's to 1912,
Yours, FREUD
