1003 Seestrasse, Küsnacht-Zürich,
[written between 11 and 14 Dec. 1912]1
Dear Professor Freud,
I should be glad to make an occasional contribution to the new journal, provided of course that I have anything worthwhile, which is not always the case. The Zürich group proposes the following title:
“Internationale Zeitschrift für therapeutische Psychoanalyse.”
This suggestion comes from the theologians. They don't want to be left out. The pedagogues are also complaining. Perhaps you will lend a willing ear.
I see from Furtmüller's forthcoming critique in the Zentralblatt2 that the Viennese prophets are wrong about a “swing over” to Adler. Even Adler's cronies do not regard me as one of theirs.3
It is deplorable that science should still be treated like a profession of faith.
With kind regards,
Most sincerely yours, JUNG
