Dear Mr. President,
Dear Doctor,
I have the first number of our new Zeitschrift before me. I avail myself of this opportunity to thank you for the friendly support which you as president have given the undertaking. It has enabled us from the very start to embark on a policy which we hope to pursue to the satisfaction of all.
Both the editors and the director will be thankful to you for any suggestion as to changes and improvements. The review of the Jahrbuch2 will be continued in the next issue, which will also carry a study of your libido paper by one of the editors.3 The third number will carry contributions by our American colleagues.4
It now appears that a secret contract was concluded a year and a half ago between Stekel and the publisher, providing for my dismissal in the event of a conflict between director and editor. A pretty piece of treachery.
