Internationale Psychoanalytische Vereinigung
Küsnach-Zürich, 17 May 19131
Dear Mr. President,
With a view to establishing the programme for the Congress in Munich, 7 & 8 September, it would be desirable to have some idea now of the kind of lectures that are to be given. I would therefore request you to make inquiries in your group and urge its members to communicate with me at the earliest convenience.
Since the theme for discussion proposed by the Munich meeting, “On the Teleological Function of Dreams,” has not met with general approval, I would ask you to inquire whether the proposed theme should stand, or whether better suggestions can be put forward. The Zürich group is of the opinion that the theme is a topical one and well worth discussing. Nevertheless, I think it important that the Association as a whole should express its views on this matter of general concern.
In this respect also, Mr. President, I should appreciate an early reply.
Very truly yours, DR. JUNG
Typewritten and signed. Evidently a circular letter to the presidents of the branch societies.
