I'm glad I waited before mailing the letter. Today I am able to add that one of the cases gave me what I expected (sexual shock — that is, infantile abuse in male hysteria!) and that at the same time a working through of the disputed material strengthened my confidence in the validity of my psychological constructions. Now I am really enjoying a moment of satisfaction.
On the other hand, the time has not yet come to enjoy the supreme moment and then sink back.1 A lot of work still remains to be done on the succeeding acts of the tragedy
