Vienna, December 3, 1895
IX., Berggasse 19
Dearest Wilhelm,
If it had been a son, I would have sent you the news by telegram, because he would have carried your name. Since it turned out to be a little daughter by the name of Anna, she is being introduced to you belatedly. Today at 3:15 she pushed her way into my consulting hour, appears to be a nice complete little female who, thanks to Fleischmann's1 care, did not do her mother any harm. Both are now doing rather well. I hope it will not be long before correspondingly good news arrives from you, and then, when Anna and Paulinchen meet, they ought to learn how to get on very well together.
Your
Sigm.
Carl Fleischmann (b. 1859), obstetrician and gynecologist.
