Klobenstein am Ritten [Collalbo], Tyrol
Hotel Post, 23 August 1911

Dear Dr. Binswanger,
I have only just received the Jahrbuch and read your ‘heel analysis’,1 with which you have succeeded splendidly. The incompleteness of the analysis of the masculine aspect must have rendered your account much more difficult, yet a very convincing impression remains. In matters of classification I am entirely on your side.
I do not believe for a moment that this is the last offering we can expect from you. Despite your obligations to the clinic, you will go on with your work, of that I have no doubt.
I am exempted from further discussion by our forthcoming meeting.2 I hope that all goes very well with you, your wife and children, clinic and affairs. I have been here since the end of July and am planning to stay until 10 September. After a brief stopover in Merano, I shall go straight to Zurich on 15 September.3
Kind regards from,
Yours ever, Freud
