Prof. Dr. Freud
Dear Dr. Binswanger,
Just imagine this curious fruit of my visit to you: I could read your letter without difficulty, although I am not at all sure that it was more clearly written than the previous letters.
Many thanks for your personal news and that of your work. Please do not trouble to thank me when Heller1 sends you a book2 which should remind you of our conversation about the green stones.3 But he (H.) is so slow that it will certainly be quite a time yet before he gets round to it.
Jung reproached me for not going to Zurich and said the reason for for my staying away was my dissatisfaction with his new libido theory.4 He did not say, however, why it did not occur to him to come over here himself. I had certainly done enough travelling and could not, as your guest, reduce my stay by half.
