[To Ludwig Binswanger and Paul Häberlin]1
Dear Guests,
The barbaric conditions of our existence and the decline of hospitality are particularly significant to me at the moment, because I am inviting you to spend the day in my house from 10 a.m. on Sunday. - I can see you only briefly on Saturday and offer you nothing. I am free from 2 till 3 but otherwise not, and the evening, being the last of the week, is unacceptable. - Would you like to let me know by telephone or otherwise whether I may come to see you, meet you somewhere, or expect you here, after 2 on Saturday. - I hope you had a good journey2 and add best wishes from my wife and family.
