Prof. Dr. Freud
Dear Dr. Binswanger,
Heartiest congratulations on your fourth offspring,1 and regrets only that I cannot decipher your letter well enough to allay your anxieties,2 which glimmer faintly through. It would seem, however, that you have gone back on your own prognosis.
I was also very pleased to hear about your lecture,3 but could not understand why you had it printed by Alzheimer4 (?) instead of supporting our journal with a contribution for once.
What are we doing? We are preparing the new Jahrbuch, the appearance of which will, I hope, enable a clean break with the Swiss.5 My contribution for Kraus6 will be done in the summer, at Seis-am-Schlern where we plan to go after Karlsbad. At the end of September, after the Congress,7 I shall be giving a lecture in Leiden.8
Kind regards to you and to all your family, now no longer small. I hope to hear good news from you before long.
Yours, Freud
Wolfgang Binswanger, b. 8 June 1914.
