Dear Professor Freud,
Many thanks for your offprint.1 I found the paper so interesting that I read it through in one gulp the very first evening, the interest being of such a high order that I was spurred on, now by the content, now by your deadly aim. I can find no fault with it whatever, for the work is, in every respect, the product of your whole personality and as such of the utmost importance for your future biographers. I was particularly pleased with the blows you dealt out; but above all I was delighted to see how much the whole work is suffused with an unbroken vigour. May you be granted that for a very long time to come.
With kind regards,
Ever yours, [L. Binswanger]
