Prof. Dr. Freud
Dear Dr. Binswanger,
I gladly comply with the admonition enclosed with your last interest, communication. (Incidentally, don't I know the anonymous author, L.B?)1 However, I cannot really tell you anything other than you will have guessed yourself: that we are entirely under the influence of the events, are bracing ourselves with difficulty to continue our work, and anticipate a quite extraordinary falling off in our practice. My eldest son is a volunteer in the army,2 still in the Tyrol, my daughter3 has returned from England with the Austrian diplomatic party.
